The Weigh Station offers weight loss injections to qualifying individuals. Ozempic is a type of glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) that reduces your appetite by slowing down your gastric emptying, making you feel fuller longer. Back in 2021, the FDA approved it for use in treating type 2 diabetes. It was also approved for use for individuals who are obese and individuals who are overweight with a weight-related health condition such as high-blood pressure. We only prescribe this medication in addition to your weight loss program as it should be used with diet and exercise.
Your initial consultation with us is a time for us to get to know you and your health and weight loss goals. One of the ways we do this is by going over your complete medical history, so you will need to bring your medical records in order to understand your specific health profile. Feel free to also prepare a list of questions, as our team takes their time during this appointment to make sure you feel confident in the plan we develop for you.
IV therapy is when medication is injected directly into your bloodstream through your vein. At The Weigh Station, we offer a variety of IV therapies including hydration, anti-nausea, Vitamin C, B Complex and The Myer’s Cocktail. To learn more about the cost for an infusion session at The Weigh Station, please contact our office and a team member will be happy to go over pricing with you in greater detail.

Food and Nutrition Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, bouillon cubes are the one exception to the rule. They do not have enough sugar to compromise your weight loss efforts and are used to treat cramping, which is a common side effect during stage 1 of our program. However, we recommend chicken bouillon cubes over beef and selecting brands such as Knorr, which contains less sugar than other brands.
No, if you are drinking the recommended gallon of water per day it will dilute the important minerals that you need, including salt! Be sure to season your food with salt, herbs and spices that contain sodium to ensure you are replenishing your electrolytes. Other electrolytes that may need to be increased include potassium and magnesium.
In addition to dill pickles, 2 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream (HWC) per day can be used to curb sweet cravings and keep you on track. It can be drizzled on frozen blueberries or strawberries or frozen in ice-cube molds with cocoa powder and Stevia to create an approved “dessert.” Limit your ice cubes to two per day and four per week.
Our patients may eat almonds and walnuts, but limit them to no more than two servings a day. Each serving counts as one protein and one fat. Please note that too many nuts will slow down or even stop weight loss, so please talk to our team if you have any questions.
No—these both contain aspartame, which is an artificial sweetener, and should be avoided. They can also increase cravings for sweets, thus increasing the risk of deviating from the program diet.
We only recommend almond flour on a case by case basis—ask Dr. Lindsey if it is right for you. If approved, it can be used to coat meats prior to cooking; however, it should never be used for baking. A light coating can add flavor to some of your recipes, but too much may slow down weight loss.
Please note that this changes frequently due to changes in manufacturing. The brands and flavors that we know of that are all aspartame free and the safest are Stride Sweet Cinnamon, Orbit Fabulous Frutini and Dyntyne Fire. Spry brand gums and mints that you can buy from a health food store are also safe in moderation. Please limit your gum consumption to 3 pieces per day.
Chronic dehydration is a significant problem that can prevent weight loss. Water helps metabolize sugars and helps aid in ketosis, the process of burning fat energy instead of sugar.
This journey is an adjustment for every person we work with. We understand there are some big lifestyle changes you are making and some are easier than others. We provide our patients with a cookbook and recipes online, so you feel confident in your nutritional choices. We include delicious dessert recipes as well!
We recommend avoiding them all together! See our food substitutions list for suggestions on replacing these with healthy alternatives.
Depending on the brand, some shredded cheeses contain potato starch. Instead, we recommend buying block cheese and shredding it by hand with a grater.
We recommended limiting your consumption of cream cheese to small amounts on special occasions (holidays, birthdays, etc.).
